Historic Theater in Georgia Reopens with Chauvet Professional Fixtures Lighting the Stage

AUGUSTA, GA – Built in 1940, Miller Theater was a popular destination for cinema and vaudeville for more than four decades before it suffered the fate shared by many other landmark venues and was eventually shuttered. Now, after a $23 million, multi-year restoration project, the 1,300-seat venue has reopened, with a new lighting rig featuring Chauvet Professional Rogue and Ovation fixtures.

Off-Broadway’s “This Ain’t No Disco” Rocks with Artiste Picasso

NEW YORK – LD Ben Stanton made creative use of Elation lighting fixtures, including the new Artiste Picasso LED moving head, for the world premiere of This Ain’t No Disco, a high-energy song and dance musical that ran from June 30 to August 12 at New York City’s Atlantic Theater Company. The Artiste Picasso met the need for a bright shuttering fixture with wide zoom that also offered gobo choices and CTO control.

LOS ANGELES – When Mexican group Banda MS announced that they would be performing at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA in late July, demand for tickets was strong enough to warrant expanding the tour stop from one to three shows. TV Singing Competition, ‘The Four,’ Gets Distinctive Looks with Robe Fixtures

LOS ANGELES – The Four: Battle for Stardom, a.k.a. The Four, premiered earlier this year on Fox. The first season of the new singing competition aired Jan. 4-Feb. 8, 2018 and the second season aired June 7-Aug. 2. LD Tom Sutherland used Robe MegaPointes and Spiiders supplied by Felix Lighting to give the second season a distinctive look and feel from the first season’s shows.
