Touring Career Workshop Wraps up with Keith Urban and Marty Hom in Attendance

This year’s edition of The Touring Career Workshop (TCW) wrapped up last week with a range of sessions and panels and an array of speakers. Featured in the collection were Maverick Storm 2 and Rogue Outcast 1 BeamWashes, COLORado PXL Curve 12s, PXL Bar 16s, and Color STRIKE Ms.

Shakespeare Theatre Gdansk Invests in Robe T1 Profiles

The Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre (Gdański Teatr Szekspirowski) is a Shakespearean theatre in the middle of the thriving industrial port city of Gdansk in Poland. Designed by Italian architect Renato Rizzi, it opened in 2014 and is built on the site of a 17th-century theatre, known as the Fencing School, where English travelling players once performed English Renaissance Theatre works.

GLP Creos Impresses with In Extremo at the ‘Holy Ground’ of Metal

On the first evening of Wacken Open Air, German medieval rockers In Extremo headlined on the Louder Stage. The band’s renowned Lighting Designer, Martin Heining, expanded his design especially for the Wacken show, by including 12 of the new high-performance Creos wash lights from by GLP, adding on to the already extensive festival design by LD Jerry Appelt.

Claypaky Skylos Make Romanian Debut at ‘Beach, Please!’ Music Festival

In just three years, Constanta, Romania’s Beach Please has become the largest urban music festival in Europe drawing hip hop, pop, and electronic headliners. The 2024 show featured a lighting rig comprising 430 moving light fixtures. To match the colossal scale of the production, Stage and Lighting Designer Andrei Predut of APart Productions brought in 36 Claypaky Skylos.

Held annually in support of mental health advocacy, the event routinely features many of music’s biggest names.

RuPaul’s DragCon LA Pink CarpetLive Streamed with Blackmagic Design

The Pink Carpet at RuPaul’s DragCon Los Angeles 2024 was live streamed using a Blackmagic Design live production workflow, including ATEM Television Studio 4K8 live production switcher and Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K streaming solution. The event became the most streamed original program on the WOW Presents Plus platform, a global hub for streaming the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” franchise.
