Industry Celebrates Life and Legacy of Stephen Gudis

During his too-short life, Stephen Gudis amassed a long list of job titles including music promoter, production manager, tour manager, stage manager, and road manager for live concerts and TV shows. He was also a long-time member of the Parnelli Awards Board of Advisors and a stage manager for the gala for over a decade. While he passed suddenly back on Jan. 6, 2020, friends, family, and admirers finally got the opportunity for an in-person celebration of his life and legacy. GLP Fixtures Out in Force on Idles’ UK Tour

LD Ed Warren called on a range of GLP products for Idles’ latest UK tour. The itinerary included a number of O2 Academy-sized venues, including multiple nights at the larger capacity Brixton Academy, Victoria Warehouse Manchester, and Cardiff Motorpoint Arena. There, the basic house rig/floor package expanded with a full production show including 20 GLP JDC Line 500, 28 X4 Bar 20s, and 18 JDC1 hybrid strobes on the floor.

Robe Double Rocks for Ghost & Volbeat Tour

Ghost from Sweden and Volbeat from Denmark co-headlined a U.S. tour lit, respectively, by LDs Erich Bertti and Niels Bjerregaard. Premier Global Productions provided a rig centered on Robe moving lights including MegaPointes, Spiiders, and BMFL Spots.

Winners of the 94th Annual Academy Awards

The 94th Oscars® were held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide. Production designer and creative director David Korins returned to the Oscars, having previously been the designer in 2019, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Lighting designer Robert Dickinson returned for his 33rd Oscars show.  During his three-decades long career, he has won 18 Primetime Emmy Awards, including three for Oscars telecasts, and has over 1,500 on-screen television credits.
