On August 2, 2024, fans of Adele witnessed a first of its kind experience when performer kicked off a limited run of 10 performances at a purpose built temporary arena. The 80,000-seat outdoor arena constructed at Messe München featured a 220 meter LED wall along with thousands of lighting fixtures that included a large quantity of SGM Light units.

PLSN was saddened to hear of the passing on Aug. 2, 2024, of Lighting Designer / Lighting Director Christopher Richard Stuba at age 63 from Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer. Debi Moen who knew and had interviewed Stuba several times, remembers this beloved friend in our lighting community’s life and career through friends of his as well as quotes from Stuba himself from past interviews.
The Venice Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Venice, FL, has recently undergone a significant lighting upgrade with the installation of Elation FUZE PAR Z175 luminaires, facilitated by production and integration company Thunder City Pro. The venue now offers an enhanced visual experience using state-of-the-art LED wash luminaires with dynamic color mixing and motorized zoom.
Princess Cruises has taken a major step toward sustainability and delivering outstanding live performances by upgrading the lighting rig in their 1,000-seat Princess Theatre on the Crown, Emerald, and Ruby Princess ships. Princess Cruises Fleet Lighting Supervisor Matt DeJong and the Princess Entertainment Technical team selected Robe Lighting TE fixtures.
