The Swedish pop supergroup GES wrapped up their 2022 tour with a 33-date sold-out residency at Stockholm’s famous Cirkus venue. Having kicked off their tour in 2021 at Cirkus, it all came full circle, a theme reflected within the Designer Palle Palmé’s production and lighting design, which also played off the venue’s own unique circular architecture.
The artist ZHU went into his 10th sold out performance at Red Rocks evoking the largest musical chairs game ever. Performing in a sea of chairs and lights, ZHU’s vision was brought to reality by Production Designer/Manager Andrew Dugan; Lighting Designer/Director, and Programmer Lorcan Clarke; and Video Director Elan Oatway.
The reign of LEDs hasn’t negated the need to continue to develop luminaires with discharge lamps. Nothing else can create a beam to cut across the sky with such power.
