Although it appears to take place in a trendy, real-world restaurant, Fox’s hit food competition show, The F Word, starring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, is actually shot live and in real-time on a Hollywood soundstage. Its massive, four-wall set rises 28 feet above the floor and includes multiple dining alcoves, a large balcony, a semicircular bar and an open, fully functioning kitchen.

Remember when MTV played music? Back when MTV launched in 1981, I was in college and procrastinated away many an hour watching music videos on the channel. Over time, MTV tried a lot of different things and reality TV was the one thing that stuck. Airing music became mostly a thing of the past, until now. In 2016, MTV brought music back in a big way when, for the first time in 20 years, they began producing a live music show called Wonderland.
Two Projects are Inspired by the 1984 Talking Heads Concert Film’s Looks
In 1984, The Talking Heads released a concert movie like no other, Stop Making Sense. The film, directed by Jonathan Demme in close collaboration with David Byrne, captured the band toward the end of their tour over three nights at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Widely considered one of the best concert films ever made, Demme used the live performances to really showcase the band’s music and their highly theatrical style.
As Major League Baseball (MLB) heads into the playoffs, we thought it should be noted how good the New York Yankees have looked this season… that is to say how good they’ve looked under the new lights at Yankee Stadium. Prior to the 2016 season, the Yankees organization completely replaced its High Intensity Discharge (HID) sports lighting with a fully LED-based lighting system. Through this lighting retrofit process, they seriously cut their energy bills and significantly improved the quality of the on-field lighting for both the fans and the players.
