House of Rock

The House of Rock in Santa Rosa, CA, began in mid-2012 as a private rehearsal studio, owned and operated by the management of the hard rock band V2 (pronounced V Squared), fronted by virtuoso teen twin brothers, drummer and vocalist Vincenzo and guitarist and lead vocalist Vittorio Piazza. Aside from being the home of V2, the five-year business plan was to evolve House of Rock as Northern California’s newest, multi-purpose, full-service art and entertainment creation and exhibition facility.

LightParts’ LED Upgrade Gives the Church a Win-Win

Victory World Church held their first official service in 1990 with just seven people in attendance. By bridging the gap between cultures and generations through a multi-cultural and multi-generational worship experience, the congregation now averages 12,000 a week at the Norcross, Georgia campus alone. While the church does not broadcast their services, they do webcast to a weekly audience upwards of 6,500 and their two other Atlanta-area campuses.

Lighting the RJ Corman Railroad Bridge

Lumenpulse Sets a 19th-Century Structure Aglow using 21st-Century Technologies.

Lumenpulse, a specification-grade LED lighting solutions manufacturer, recently provided their Lumenbeam luminaires for the restoration project of the RJ Corman Railroad Bridge. Built in 1890, yet still structurally sound, the bridge, spanning the Cumberland River in downtown Clarksville, TN, was rusting and appeared dilapidated. A simple new coat of silver paint just would not do.

3Ten: Austin’s Newest Showcase Club

A beloved address in Austin, TX is downtown at 310 Willie Nelson Boulevard. It belongs to the Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre, also the studio home of the Austin City Limits TV show tapings of some of the top names in music. Sharing that same address is 3TEN, a new intimate showcase room downstairs from ACL Live. The one-level, 350-capacity space opened in March 2016 as an extension of the ACL venue as well as its own club.

The gently raked, 5,700-seat auditorium carved from the Los Angeles landscape is the stuff of rock ‘n’ roll legend. The photo on the left shows how the venue looked after opening in 1931. It has since become a Mecca for rock ‘n’ roll’s elite.

The Greek Theatre in L.A. – Caretaking a Legend

In 2015, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles became the focus of a hostile bidding war that pitted the Nederlander Organization against Live Nation, AEG’s Goldenvoice and others for exclusive management rights. Offers and counter offers flowed as deadlines for the 2016 season grew closer. A deal was finally reached allowing the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and management company SMG to create an “open door” policy for all promoters.
