Creed’s ‘The Summer of ‘99’ Tour

Creed has reunited for their first new tour in over a decade with their “Summer of ’99” tour. Production & Lighting Designer Mathias Kuhn, is also filling the role of Lighting Director. He worked closely with the production vendors, Bandit Lites; PRG; and IMAGESFX.  Here he shares in his own words the dynamic design approach that is engaging fans.

Alanis Morissette’s ‘Triple Moon’ Tour

Production & Lighting Designer Nate Cromwell and Set Designer Melody Tseng have created a wonderfully natural setting for Alanis Morissette’s recent “Triple Moon” tour using tracking, automation, and projecting onto soft goods for the tour. Plus, a Vendor View from TAIT on the early collaboration process with the creative team.

Styx and Foreigner’s ‘Renegades & Juke Box Heroes’ Tour

Styx and Foreigner are co-headlining the “Renegades & Juke Box Heroes” tour with Tim Rozner as the Tour Production Director. Libby Gray is the Lighting Designer for Styx, with Ben Moffitt handling the lighting design for Foreigner. Mike Wharton speaks with the team about designing a co-headlining run with two distinct looks.

Foo Fighters ‘Everything or Nothing At All’ Tour

Production Designer Dan Hadley is back supporting The Foo Fighters for their just wrapped “Everything Or Nothing at All Tour.” He shares his thoughts on this tour’s design choices and some of the technology behind it. Hadley, who programs and operates his own show, did bring in some programming help this year.

Brent Clark’s Designs for Robert Plant / Alison Krauss and Sarah McLachlan

Production & Lighting Designer Brent Clark has two shows currently on tour, the Robert Plant / Alison Krauss “Raise the Roof Tour,” for which he’s also touring as Lighting Director; and Sarah McLachlan’s “The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour.” Clark took some time to speak with PLSN about his designs for both these tours.

PSI Lights July 4th Event with the Jonas Brothers in Utah

“Stadium of Fire,” the annual 4th of July celebration in Provo, Utah was headlined this year by the Jonas Brothers. Lighting for this epic event was supplied by Production Services International (PSI), which utilized a rig comprised predominantly IP65-rated luminaires. Austin Hart, Production Coordinator at PSI walks readers through the setup.
