Projection Arts: Kaki King

With her daring multi-media show, The Neck is a Bridge to the Body, solo acoustic guitarist Kaki King explores the joys of oobleck, MIDI software and anthropomorphic surrealism.

The festival ran from July 13-15. The main Electric City stage was lit with Clearwing-supplied gear.

Many of this year’s biggest music festivals and concert tours impressed the crowds with converging broadcast and AV technologies. Among the companies on the leading edge: Blackmagic Design. Rhythm and Roots Festival

Ninigret Park in Charlestown, RI was the setting for the 20th annual Rhythm and Roots Festival held on Labor Day weekend 2017. The festival has become a “must do” event for hundreds of families who enjoy a variety of musical styles including Zydeco, Celtic, Cajun, Tex-Mex. People of all ages enjoy the laid-back vibe at the 220 acre park in the seaside community of Charlestown, RI. The park features picnic areas, a freshwater swimming pond and the Frosty Drew Nature Center and Observatory and hosts a number of events over the summer months.

See You in Las Vegas!

I like coming to Vegas in November. I prefer it over October simply because by the time you read this it will be freezing outside where I live and Vegas is always warm if you’re outside. I wouldn’t mind if they went back to having LDI rotating cities though. I always catch up with a different set of friends on the right coast than I do out here. But hey, it’s that time of year and it’s gonna be great regardless.
