Timecoding shows can be fun, but good, in-depth knowledge of how your lighting console interacts with these signals, and experience in troubleshooting, are must-haves when working with it. Console operators must be prepared to operate the cues manually in case something goes wrong. Troubleshooting the problem can take hours, and the problem usually isn’t as simple as an unplugged cable or a turned-off option.
