Six months ago, Production Manager David ‘dstew’ Stewart and partner Sarah Lozoff formally created Production on Deck. It began as a resource to consolidate the many tools used across the country to identify talent from marginalized communities and has grown into a full-fledged talent and consulting firm for theatrical production roles. For PLSN’s Stage Directions section, Michael S. Eddy queried both Stewart and Lozoff about their success stories, the loss of theatrical talent due to the pandemic, and how those looking for work — and workers — can use PoD as a resource for their mutual advantage.
