American reggae band Stick Figure recently wrapped their ‘Sacred Sand Summer Tour’ out with a design by Lighting Designer Nesta Garrick, and a lighting system provided by Bandit Lites. Garrick chose fixtures that would provide a range of effects, utilizing ACME, Chauvet, Elation, GLP, and ROBE fixtures.

Grammy Award winning Jamaican reggae legend Buju Banton returned to the U.S. for the first time in 13 years when he performed two back-to-back shows at New York’s UBS Arena. Karol G recently concluded her historic ‘Mañana Será Bonito’ world tour with four incredible stadium shows in Madrid. The year-long run featured an ambitious production with lighting design by Lightswitch Senior Director Ignacio Rosenberg, working with lighting vendor PRG. At the heart of the design were Elation PROTEUS luminaires, which played a vital role in both the stadium and arena shows.

The format of the workshops is shaping up nicely and the organizers are encouraging manufacturers, designers, and students to put forward their ideas for more workshops.
Dutch pioneer of the hard techno industry, Verknipt hosted Verknipt ArenA in July. The sold-out event was the first ever for Verknipt at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena.
