Antari DNG-200 Low-Lying Fog Machine

Elation Professional’s new low-lying fog effect machine doesn’t require dry ice or any connection to external units. The Antari DNG-200 Low Fog Generator is a self-contained unit that produces a continuous output of low-lying fog while running on X-Fog Ice fog fluid. It features 3M fog conducting hose, 10-liter tank, a compressor and an aluminum heater block, allowing it to produce continuous fog at 40,000 CFM. Three output settings range in thickness and the volume and timing can be controlled via DMX or the built-in timer controller. It measures 30.7” by 24” by 27,” weighs 265 pounds and the retail price is $10,999.95.

Chauvet Colorado Panel

The Colorado™ Panel from Chauvet is a DMX-512 RGBW LED color wash luminaire with 48 2-watt LEDs outputting 16,786 lux at 1m. The beam angle is 13° by 9° and the field angle is 25° by 22°. It has an IP66 rating and it is available in black or white. Multiple operating modes include RGB, HSV, RGB+W and a 9-channel mode with control over RGBW, ID, dimmer, strobe, macro, auto, custom and balance values. Color temperature presets range from 3,200K to 10,000K. Built-in programs and custom programs can be run in master/slave mode, and up to 30 fixtures can be daisy-chained on a single power feed.

City Theatrical MasterBlast

The new MasterBlast™ from City Theatrical uses a Philips Color Kinetics ColorBlast® 12 TR LED fixture and CTI’s patented SHoW DMX™ wireless technology to create a wireless, battery powered, LED fixture with up to 10 hours of operating time. Built-in stand-alone routines and wireless DMX allow events to be run without a lighting console, external wireless DMX gear or power and data cables. Any MasterBlast can be configured as a transmitter or receiver. The user interface has a built in battery gauge and provides for radio settings. Optional polycarbonate holographic lenses create a variety of symmetric and asymmetric beam spreads.

Pyrotek Fire-Screen

Pyrotek Special Effects’ new Fire-Screen gas effect is a modular, programmable, pixel-based unit with the ability to produce various propane flame effects from moderate to high speeds. It can create a wall of fire up to eight feet tall on cue or create various sized fire balls and flame columns. The screens can be custom-built and programmed to integrate various chase sequences and flame effects. It can be integrated into a stage set in multiple configurations or mounted to trussing in a horizontal or vertical position. Each module is networked via Ethernet, DMX-controllable, fully programmable and uses propane to generate the flame effects.

High End Systems Showgun 2.5

Barco announced the release of a new High End Systems automated luminaire, the Showgun 2.5. It offers 30 percent more light output than its predecessor via a new 2500-watt Philips MSR lamp source producing 130,000 lumens of light. High End Systems co-developed the lamp with Philips. The luminaire is a hybrid spot/wash beam combination with hard or soft-edge beams, image projection and the LED Tracking System, which encircles the lens, allowing the user to either match the color of the beam or to project a complementary color. The LED tracking system alone provides 7000 lumens of output.

Thern Conversion Kit for Manual Clew Winches

Thern’s new Manual to Motorized Clew Hoist Conversion Kit allows users to convert Series CW-1100 manual clew winches to electric operation without returning the units to the factory, thus reducing downtime. Kits for either single-phase 115 volt or three-phase 208-230/460 volt power are available. All conversion kits include a motor with an internal mechanical brake for positive load control, a secondary worm gear reducer for power transmission and a 4-position limit switch with chain drive and mounting bracket. The kits are available from authorized dealers of Thern Stage Equipment.
