NIDA Students Give ETC Eos a Try

SYDNEY — Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) gives students hands-on experience with theatrical equipment. Second-year NIDA student, Luke Woolley, used the ETC Eos console for a production of Unidentified Human Remains in the Parade Theatres.

LEDVision Supports A1 Grand Prix in South Africa

MIDRAND, South Africa — LEDVision, a Gearhouse South Africa company, supplied 200 square meters of LED screen, microwave links and control for the fifth round of the 2009 A1 Grand Prix World Cup. This was staged in South Africa for the first time at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.

BRIT Awards Lit by i-Pix BB4s

LONDON — LD Al Gurdon used 24 i-Pix BB4 LED 4-lite units on the 2009 BRIT Awards show at Earls Court. Special brackets allowed for two BB4s to be rigged together, and six of these “8-lite” units were positioned on the front truss, pointing into the audience.

London’s Tower 42 Lit by Philips LEDs

LONDON — Architainment supplied over 1,300 Philips SSL iColor Cove MX Powercore LED fixtures for an installation in the refurbished atrium of Tower 42, London’ s tallest building. Paul Croft Studios, in conjunction with Architects Design Partnership (ADP), refreshed the look of the main entrance and reception area with a new lighting scheme created by Light Bureau.
