Eurovision 2024 Design Revealed and Stage Build Time Lapse

The stage design for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest was recently unveiled ahead of the grand final in Malmö, Sweden, on May 11th.  Lighting and Screen Content designer Fredrik Stormby from Green Wall Designs and production designer Florian Wieder are the creative team helping to create, design, and deliver a large-scale and spectacular show to a global audience of over 160 million. The stage and lighting design for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will focus on the audience more than ever. With the stage placed in the center of the arena, viewers will experience a visually revolutionary concept. The unique 360-degree experience surrounds the audience and viewers in the Malmö Arena.

Robe PAINTES and LEDBeam 350s Add More Carnival Magic at Sea

The action-packed 1,500-capacity Showtime Theatre show lounge and central entertainment hub of the 306-meter long Carnival Magic cruise ship has been recently upgraded with the installation of Robe moving lights, which were installed while the ship was still in operation around Miami. Coordinating the upgrade project was Carnival Cruise Line fleet supervisor for lighting Silviu Ardelean and lighting manager Alexander Nelson.

Phish Plays the Sphere

The long-running rock band Phish just wrapped up playing four nights at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Working with Co-Creative Directors, Abigail Rosen Holmes and Jean-Baptiste Hardoin on Montreal-based Moment Factory, Phish created four unique shows over the four night run each filled with swirling, immersive imagery on the massive 160,000 square foot LED video walls of the venue. The creative directors worked closely with long-time Lighting Designer, Chris Kuroda and Associate Lighting Designer/Programmer, Andrew Giffin who layered their lighting with the stunning video imagery for an outstanding set of shows.

PLSN caught up with the always innovative Fredrik Stormby from Stockholm-based Green Wall Designs shortly after the Melodifestivalen Final 2024, the live and broadcast Swedish competition that decided the country’s act that will move on to the 68th Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen 2024 was the 64th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, that was televised by Sweden’s Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition took place between February 3 and March 9, 2024.
