BRATISLAVA, Slovak Republic —Slovakia, the latest EU country to accept the Euro as its national currency, staged a live, televised celebration lit by LD Martin Kubánka using Robe moving lights. Branislav Mišík directed the event, staged at the Slovak National Theatre, and Kubánka worked with DoP Vladimír ÄŽurÄÂanský and set designer Daniel Šichman on the event, which was produced for STV1 by Red House.
CLEVELAND, OH — The 2009 US Figure Skating Championships were held January 18-25 at the Quicken Loans Arena. Held annually since 1914, it awards 12 national champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dancing on the senior, junior and novice levels.
