All You Need for Goosemas is Robe

Popular American jam band Goose grooved their way into the 2023 festive season with four special concerts staged over two days at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia, all completely sold out. Lighting Designer / Director Andrew Goedde chose Robe moving lights as the principal fixtures and worked closely on developing his design with Lighting Programmer / Technical Director Tony Caporale, using their 2023 touring rig as a starting point. From this they evolved some new concepts for the tenth annual Goosemas event.Read More »All You Need for Goosemas is Robe

Carlos Katsurayama Calls on CHAUVET Professional to Keep Pace with The Struts

Just about everyone who saw The Struts on the UK band’s recently concluded North American tour felt two things when they left one of its sold-out shows: exhilarated and exhausted. “Exhilarated,” because the irrepressible glam rockers kept pedal to the metal with their relentless stage presence and hard-driving music from the moment they kicked things off with “Dirty Sexy Money.”  And “exhausted,” well… that was due to many of the same reasons, as the high-powered quartet continued to engage their audience with intense crowd interactions and singalongs throughout their 19-song set.Read More »Carlos Katsurayama Calls on CHAUVET Professional to Keep Pace with The Struts

LD Yaron Abulafia Chooses Robe Tetra2s for Dutch National Ballet

Stark, raw, and provocative, Full Frontal is an uncompromising new dance piece by Choreographer Juanjo Arqués billed as ‘a ballet about real people and actual feelings’ set to “Weather One” a musical score by Michael Gordon. It was presented by the Dutch National Ballet and staged at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam. It explores the stresses and tensions of our fractured and often polarized society as it faces physical obstacles that swap—ironically—with psychological projections of challenging conditions.Read More »LD Yaron Abulafia Chooses Robe Tetra2s for Dutch National Ballet

Julie Basse Makes History and Imagination Come Alive in ‘Hair’ with CHAUVET Professional

The 1960s saw many wild, wonderful, and colorful transformations, but the modern moving light that would one day lead to the reimagination of stage design was not one of them. That creative breakthrough was still a decade away when Hair, the Tony-winning counterculture musical from James Rado and Gerome Ragni, made its Broadway debut in April, 1968. Still, could there be any better way to convey the ebullient, freewheeling spirit of the Sixties than with bold, dynamic moving fixtures?Read More »Julie Basse Makes History and Imagination Come Alive in ‘Hair’ with CHAUVET Professional
