Event Details:

Robe Lighting France’s first Robe Awards event was a competition for lighting design and programming prowess that drew more than 160 entrants. Entrants had to create a 90 second time-coded lightshow utilizing grandMA 3D, Capture or Depence2 and 133 Robe virtual moving lights, all working to the same pre-designated music track. The contest’s 10 finalists battled it out in person at Les Studios de la Montjoie in the La Plaine St Denis area near Paris, where they utilized a full Robe lighting rig with more than 300 fixtures in all. Each finalist had three days to previz their show at home before arriving at the studio with their show-file, and a further three hours onsite to upload this and fine-tune, with a choice of grandMA or ChamSys consoles.
