Every once in a while I feel the need to get away. It doesn't mean I stop working, but it means I'm not travelling to a different town to do a gig. I enter a work/play zone. So I did that last week.
I traveled to a town a couple hundred miles from mine. I had two things in mind. To spend a few quality hours dining with old friends, and the rest of it drawing up design proposals that I had not gotten around to. This was my way of relaxing. I will delve into my computer for about 12 hours straight while I turn ideas in my head into art on a cd. After staring at a screen for the whole day, one needs refreshment. And friends don't hurt. So I combine the 2 and stay out for a good part of the night. Then repeat for 3 days straight.
After that I'm recharged, home for a few days, and ready for the next month's worth of projects I'm booked on.
