What up everyone!? So I’m back and last time I ended with dance moves at the console. Almost every lighting director I’ve seen has some sort of movement while they’re running their show. Last time I said I do the hips left to right with a head-bob. I consider it a combination of Phish bassist Mike Gordon and my boy Colin the LD from Galactic. How do you like to dance at your console? I’m excited to get anyone’s input. If you don’t have any moves I suggest you get into the music more and invent your own. It goes a long way and people love the fact that you’re into it! I can honestly say the FOH engineer I work with gets down too. By the way it’s his birthday so…Happy Birthday Erik!
Wear it with pride maaaaaaaaaaaan. If anyone in the Phoenix area needs a kick ass sound man from time to time look him up on the newly established sister site to PLSN named EPD (Event Production Directory) at http://www.epdweb.com . I'm on there as well under Anthony Caporale – Phoenix, AZ. Oh and speaking of which I have to give praise to this website. It provides you with an updated directory of all the production companies out there and you can also add you own personal listings too. So anyone who wants get the word out about yourself and/or your company hit up that website above and take advantage of this information! The man with the master plan Richard Cadena tells me that there is much more to come out of it too. You can check out his blogs over at Swami Candela’s Light Line . So keep your eyes peeled =) Lately I’ve been getting prepared to move back to Baltimore, Maryland and to reestablish it as my home base. Cool thing is that I’ll be able to start rekindling my video work again. Since I’ve been in Arizona I didn’t find much video work out here plus I got so busy with EastonAshe that I didn’t have time to really do anything else. A lot of things will be happening with me including some club work with local and national bands, video, writing product reviews and blogs for the folks here at PLSN , and also some touring here and there when I get the call. So I will have plenty to write about that’s for certain! Next week I’m going to get back to my roots by going through “The Notebook” or as I like to call it the “commandments” and the box where I store all the tabs I call the “arc”… Why so biblical? Well I was born and raised catholic of course!!! Just grazing through now I’ll be talking about some new cue ideas and tricks, pricing comparisons of PC hardware/software I’m looking at, Casino Arizona, and my cue list organization for different consoles. Well I’ll talk with ya’ll next time right here at “The Notebook.”
