Oracle LED Systems Sees Early Success with New Video Panels
Two new video panels introduced by Oracle LED Systems earlier this year have seen significant early success in the event and rental markets. Oracle LED will demonstrate these products at its booth (#445) at LDI.
The Links Road Ready (RR) 2.9 LED indoor video panel expands the Links line, already known for its no-tools-required installation and maintenance and fully magnetic modules. This design allows users to disassemble and reassemble a complete panel in less then one minute. The panel features a pixel pitch of 2.9 mm, and an electronics upgrade in partnership with Macroblock, which supplied its new MB15153 LED display driver chip. The Macroblock chip provides doubled visual refresh rates, 14-bit color depth, reduced flicker and improved image fidelity. This results in a very high contrast ratio.
The Links RR 2.9 panel follows the success of Oracle’s Links RR 3.9 video panel, which has seen more than 3,000 panels currently in use by ten production companies in the US. With the introduction of the Links RR 2.9, Mountain View Staging, So Cal Productions and Global Trend Productions have all purchased the new video panel for their rental and event inventory.
“Oracle LED Systems has designed a complete and compact ground support system,” said Isaac Campos, founder and CEO of Global Trend Productions “The headers were designed so they could also be the base of our ground support system. They come equipped with a leveler to make sure that your base is leveled before build-out. The bases attach to a custom made plate with ladder truss connections.” Oracle LED provides an adjustable quick connect arm that attaches to the center of the panels, locking the panels and the ladder truss together without tools.
Campos says that another Oracle LED product released this year has seen immediate and considerable success. The Black Widow CTS 6.9 video panel, next in the Black Widow series that won a Parnelli Award in the indispensable technology category, has already appeared at events including the Billboard Awards, EDC, the Bumbershoot Festival, the Sasquatch Festival, and artist concerts include Enrique Iglesias and KISS.
Based on the success of the Black Widow CTS 6.9, Oracle LED soon will roll out the Black Widow CTS 5.9, with an improved frame and locking system. In addition, Oracle LED will unveil its new UHD series video panels (in 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8mm) at LDI. This series of ultra high definition rental panels offers front and rear service, high brightness, and a high refresh rate. The panels’ small pitch, high definition and wide viewing angle make them appropriate for TV broadcasting, control rooms and conference rooms. All of these products will be on display in Las Vegas at LDI from Oct. 21-23.
