GAM LED Stik-up

The Stik-up, an ultra-compact, four-ounce incandescent single source luminaire from GAM Products, has a new LED sibling, the LED Stik-up. As with the original tungsten-based version, designers can use LED Stik-ups as a general wash light to fill holes, light back stage areas or sneak extra illumination into the nooks and crannies of set elements from a completely self-contained package of portable LED light.

Measuring a mere 3 by 3 by 3.3 inches and weighing only 8.5 ounces (with batteries), the LED Stik-up comes with four AA batteries and an AC power supply, so it can be used either with batteries or 120-230V.

The LED Stik-up has its own built-in dimmer control and clips for holding diffusion or color correction filters. It can be taken and installed anywhere there’s a need for a little extra illumination. Users can tape it to a stand, camera, dolly, scenery or furniture or hang it with picture wire.

As its name implies, it can adhere to ceilings with anything from gaffer tape, Velcro or alligator clips — even, in a pinch, with a clothespin.
