ADJ: Encore Profile Mini COLOR
ADJ recently introduced its new Encore Profile Mini COLOR luminaire as well as a WW version. It’s an extremely compact, yet powerful, LED-powered spotlight fixture, which can be used with a choice of either a 15° – 30° or 25° – 50° manual zoom lens (sold separately). It’s supplied with an E-size gobo holder and offers smooth digital dimming as well as variable speed digital strobing. The WW version features a 40W LED source with a color temperature of 3,000K and a CRI of >98, while the COLOR version utilizes an LED engine comprised of 16 3.5W RGBWAL (red/green/blue/white/amber/lime) LEDs, which allows versatile color mixing.
Ayrton: Zonda 3 Wash
Zonda 3 is a compact luminaire fitted with seven 40W LED sources with RGB+W, and its proprietary optical system is made up of a 170mm mono-block cluster in PMMA, which enhances beam coherence, and seven glass light guides. A 50mm truncated transmitting lens with optical surface equivalent to that of a 70mm round lens enables Zonda 3 to deliver a high intensity beam with a zoom ratio of 14:1 and a wide zoom range of 4° – 56°. This LED/optical system combination produces a light output of 5,200 Lumens and a perfectly homogeneous mixture of pastel and saturated colors. A unique ventilation system ensures Zonda 3 Wash is silent.
ChamSys: MagicQ MQ250M Stadium Console
The MagicQ MQ250M Stadium console is a compact, yet powerful portable desk with an innovative folding HD Multi Touch display. Lighting professionals will be able to take this tidy console anywhere. Capable of directly controlling up to 128 universes without requiring any additional processing equipment, the new space-saving console is compatible with all MagicQ software. The intuitively laid out MagicQ MQ250M Stadium also offers a host of user-friendly features including 10 backlit and motorized faders, as well as 10 backlit playback encoders with executors. The new MagicQ v1.9.3.5 software is also available on the ChamSys website and can be downloaded at no cost to all MagicQ consoles and PC platforms.
CHAUVET: Ovation CYC 3 FC
The Ovation CYC 3 FC measures 47.13” x 6.30” x 4.33”, making it longer than the Ovation CYC 1 FC. So, the new CYC 3 FC allows the same space to be lit with fewer units. It includes an in-built kick stand and adjustable glare shield along with an asymmetrical beam angle—111.4° horizontal and 76.7° vertical beam spread. With 180 RGBAL LEDs, the Ovation CYC 3 FC can create a full spectrum of colors. Its virtual color wheel matches popular gel palettes and color temperature presets. The color temperature range is 2,800K to 6,500K, with a CRI at 3,200K of 90.
Elation: KL PROFILE FC
An LED framing fixture with an integrated manual zoom of 7° – 50° requires no additional lens tubes. An integrated manual Iris allows further beam control. The 92 CRI 305W engine utilizes a 5-color homogenized LED array consisting of Red, Green, Blue, Mint, and Amber sources that delivers an output over 10,000 lumens. Virtual color temperature and Magenta/Green adjustment are also included as well as a 16-bit rotating/indexing gobo slot with the KL Profile Designer Gobo Set, containing 10 high-resolution glass gobos. Exceptionally quiet, the fixture offers enhanced fan controls down to Elation’s Mute Mode, which disables the internal cooling fan. An optional Fresnel Lens Conversion Kit allows use as a framing wash fixture.
Magmatic: Magma Fog 1500 IP Fogger
A durable, water-based fog machine with an IP65 rating, features include a thermally protected 1,500W heat exchanger that produces an output of 60,000 CFM (cu ft/min). Easy to use with an onboard LCD touchscreen control panel with manual and timer control options, DMX-512 and RDM control, and optional wired and wireless remote-control options. Comes with IP65 locking power in and IP65 locking 5pin XLR connectors (DMX In/Out). A hanging bracket for truss mounting is included. Housing a 5-liter (1.32 gallon) tank, the unit has a fluid consumption rate of 200 ml/min (6.76 oz). Recommended fluid is Magmatic’s Atmosity Extreme Filtered Fog Fluid with other compatible fluids available.
Martin: Companion Software Update V1.5.1
Version 1.5.1, a significant Martin Companion Software update, is now available as a free download from the Martin website. Martin Companion is the management and firmware upload tool compatible with all Martin fixtures. The Martin Companion application synchronizes with Martin’s firmware library over the Internet, so gone are the days of browsing the support pages to find the latest fixture firmware. Advanced RDM integration allows all fixtures to be configured and patched remotely. Features include: automatic online synchronization of firmware library; robust Martin Companion Cable (pictured here) to connect fixtures with computer, and settings Templates enable quick deployment of settings to multiple fixtures at once.
Robe: TX1 PosiProfile
Combining conventional and automated fixtures, the TX1 PosiProfile™ is designed to operate as a moving head or as a static but repositionable profile. It can be positioned and operated in extremely confined spaces. Robe’s MAPS™ (Motionless Absolute Positioning System) patented technology enables the fixture to stay motionless while calibrating, unlike all other lights that must at least move to their home position. Using Robe’s patented BARS™ (Brake Attribute Retention System)—operated directly from the console—TX1 remains static with motorized attributes like pan and tilt, zoom and focus, locked in place until being released. Simple and effective, BARS equipped fixtures remain motionless fixed in place, through unlimited power cycles.
