AOTO: SV3.9 Series

The AOTO SV3.9 series, designed for exterior use, was officially unveiled at LDI2021. The panels are strong and durable, but also lightweight. Due to its innovative rear triangular foldable wind bracing system, each cabinet has a large load capacity and advanced overall stability, and can withstand high wind speeds and harsh weather. The SV3.9 video wall can be set up as a convex or concave curved display of the ±5° angle. A dedicated dolly system has been developed. The foldable bracing design of each cabinet saves on storage space, and can be transported in their dollies even with extra accessories attached.

ADJ: Encore FR Pro Color

A 7” Fresnel with motorized focus, between 7° and 44° is paired with enhanced color mixing potential and a CRI of 94+. The unit’s 400W light source combines red, green, blue, amber, cyan, and lime LEDs to create a gamut of colors as well as tunable white color temperatures between 2,400K and 8,500K. It offers a virtual CMY color mixing mode as well as 62 preset white color temperatures, 60 virtual color wheel presets, and 64 RGBA color macros, in addition to full independent color mixing. The fixture includes a 4-leaf rotating barn door.

Ayrton: Huracán LT

Designed for long-throws with its 225mm front lens, the Huracán LT delivers a 15:1 zoom ratio with a range of 3.5° to 53°. The 1,000W LED module delivers output of 51,000 lumens at a color temperature of 6,700K, with a 70+ CRI, and a removable high-transmission diffusion filter. The Huracán LT uses the same patent-pending color mixing system as Huracán Profile with a triple variable color temperature corrector (CTB, CTO, and CTP) allows adjustment from 2,700K to 15,000K. There is also a fixed color wheel with six complementary colors.

Baxter Controls: Best Boy2 Wireless Pocket Console® DMX

The BCi Pocket Console® DMX has gone wireless! Utilizing LumenRadio® CRMX TimoOne technology, the Best Boy2 is still the smallest “hands-on” and “user-friendly” DMX-512 controller. Only now, it’s even more portable. The Best Boy2 has its transmitter built in the case delivering wireless DMX to the Pocket Console receiver. Levels are still set using 8 channels of faders. Each fader has an associated bump button, and all 512 DMX addresses are multi-patchable to any of the 8 fader channels. The Best Boy2 also functions as a recordable 8 submaster console.

Chauvet: COLORado PXL Bar

The new IP65 rated COLORado PXL Bar 16, comes with 16 45W RGBW LEDs and has a zoom range of 5.8˚ to 48.8˚, two zones of control for pulsing effects. The fully pixel mappable fixture also includes built-in effects—virtual gobo and movement macros with separate foreground and background color control. Slotted Omega brackets make it quick and easy to hang the fixtures. They can also be positioned on the ground. It can be controlled via DMX, sACN, Art-Net and Kling-Net; and are also RDM-compatible for remote accessing and trouble shooting

Claypaky: Arolla Profile MP

The Arolla Profile MP is designed to be small and light. Although compact, it uses a 470W white LED engine that produces in excess of 22,000 lumens output and includes features like a 6° to 50° zoom range, a CMY color mixing system, and eSWAP is a unique feature of this series, that allows the interchangeability of the framing assembly of the profile version with the gobo module from the spot model. The fixture’s electronics immediately recognizes and configures the fixture to operate with the new module.

DTS Lighting: Alchemy 7 Wash Light

The Alchemy 7, a Fresnel wash moving head luminaire, won an LDI2021 New Product award. Features include a 250mm Fresnel lens; a 6-color LED source to recreate a wide range of shades, especially pastel tones; and a tungsten emulation function. The Alchemy 7 includes a 2-blade framing system with a 180˚ full system rotation, and a lumen output up to 22,000 lumens. Its linear CCT goes from 1,800K to 10,000K, with CRI and TLCI values up to 98 and 96.

Elation: IP65 Proteus Rayzor Blade™ Tilt FX Bar

The Proteus Rayzor Blade™ combines a linear wash, high-intensity strobe line, and SparkLED FX inside a compact IP65 linear fixture design. It pairs 12 independently controlled 60W RGBW LEDs with an oversized front lens. SparkLED consists of individual white LEDs placed inside the lens and are controllable by the console or by internal FX patterns. The Blade emphasize the RGBW lenses with two seamless high-intensity strobe lines with a total of up to 256 cool white strobe LED dots. With a wide zoom range from 5˚ to 45˚, it provides well-defined mid-air beams and light curtains up to 12,500 lumens.

GLP: impression X5 IP Bar

LDI2021 saw the global launch of the impression X5 IP Bar. The IP65 rated batten fixture features 18 40W RGBL LEDs and a 12:1 Zoom range from 5° to 60°. The X5 IP Bar has a new squared lens design that creates a curtain of light at its narrowest angle and delivers smooth and homogenous washes all the way out to its widest beam. Features include selectable calibrated white points, a tungsten simulation channel, magenta / green correction, virtual color wheel and variable CTC, along with twin layer effects with plenty of dynamic pattern macros.

LynTec: LCP Lighting Control Panel Series

The power control company, was on hand showing off its new LCP Lighting Control Panel Series and Narrow Profile Panelboards. The LCP Series intelligently supports the power demands of lighting and video and comes completely self-contained with a built-in web browser-based interface, mobile control app, astronomical timer, and contact closure inputs for sensor control. The LCP can also interface with any third-party control system that uses DMX, sACN, HTTP, or Telnet protocols — the same feature set as the patented RPC Series, the go-to power control solution for integrated AVL installations.

Master FX: Solstice Modular Snow System

The modular design allows for a variety of configurations to fit any application and introduces two intelligent presets—Snow Flurries and Snow Fall. The compact and lightweight Solstice is equipped with an adjustable output nozzle capable of being positioned to any degree possible and is packed with reinforced sound deadening to keep the decibels. Robe: T11 Static Fixture Range

T11 is a static fixture available in three versions—Profile, Fresnel, and PC. This three-in-one solution in a single fixture housing alleviates the additional cost of separate generic purchases and looks forward to a more sustainable future. The T11 uses Robe’s MSL™ (Multi-Spectral Light) color ideas and TE (Transferable Engine) technology. The MSL-TE™ 350W LED engine generates 16,760 Lumens, giving 9,500 lumens from the T11 Profile, 9,600 lumens out of the T11 Fresnel, and 9,400 lumens for the T11 PC. Designed for special applications like lighting acrylic rods or creating hard shadows, the LED P-Dot can be easily controlled. Its four LEDs—red, green, blue, and white, have been meticulously chosen. Features include: 120° beam angle; advanced dimming and color-management algorithms; advanced RGB to RGBW color space conversion based on the individually measured physical characteristics of each LED; typically, <3sdcm color drift at the white point; ultra-blue LED for intense and saturated colors; and available with 6,500K or 3,000K white points as standard, other color temperature are available on request.

Staging Concepts: Caprice™ Folding Acoustical Shell Tower

The Caprice™ Folding Acoustical Shell Tower will be available in early 2022. The unique folding design is made possible thanks to gas spring assistance and an integral pivoting T-handle control bar. Each tower is equipped with four swivel casters for ease of transport and positioning. The new folding tower is available in two heights: 12’ and 16’ tall. When in its folded position, the 12’ high performance shell can fit through a standard 36” W x 80” H doorway, while the 16’ shell can fit through a 48” W x 9’6” H doorway. Users can choose 5’ or 6’ wide acoustical panels with painted or high-pressure laminate finish options.

Wenger/J.R. Clancy: Vantis™ Wall Controller

The Vantis Wall Controller offers simple control for up to 24 machines. Each machine can be programmed with up to six targets including upper, lower, and four intermediate targets. Selection of multiple hoists or machine types is easy, as is the ability to simultaneously move them to a stored target. With variable speed control of a single machine, the user can also create theatrical effects during production. Features include a 10” color touchscreen for real-time feedback and programming; built-in safety features include an emergency stop system, load sensing capability, and password/pin protection.

Whirlwind: Catdusa Multicat

The Catdusa Multicat is designed to be an indestructible 12-channel RJ45 breakout box with Whirlwind’s W1 multipin connector. It uses Ethernet Cat cable to transmit analog audio or DMX protocol. It has Neutrik etherCON connectors, which are wired with 110-ohm cable to maintain AES and DMX performance when using shielded Cat cable. Catdusa products can be used together to create a fan-to-fan snakes or combined with other Catdusa pieces to create a flexible and comprehensive stage sub snake system for audio or lighting control.
