Chaos Visual Productions is on the road with Alicia Keys' 2010 "Freedom" tour, which is promoting her 2009 album, The Element of Freedom, with tour stops in North America and Europe this spring. Chaos is providing an LED system, which consists of 390 tiles of Winvision 18.75mm. There are nine different LED screens flown by cable winches on nine lighting headers under three lighting trusses. The screens begin the show on the stage deck and are used to reveal her, her band and then her set.
The content came from four Pandora's boxes, and the content and I-Mag were managed by a Vista Spyder and triggered by a grandMA console. There were two 12k Barco projectors for the two side screens, three HD cameras and two robo cams.
"This Baz Halpin design, with content by Olivier Goulet of Geodezik Design, has created one those shows that on face value appears so simple, and yet when the show starts, a complexity of thought and vision is just stunning," said John Wiseman, president of Chaos Visual. "Being able to work with Omar Abderrahman and showcase our commitment to one of the best in the business is another exciting chapter in Chaos' growth. We are blessed to have them entrust us to deliver their vision."
Touring of behalf of Chaos is crew chief Wayne Boehning, EIC Seth Sharpless, Pandora/Spyder programmer Philipp Schauer, LED technicians Tyler Munson and L. Sidney Ptah and projectionist/camera op Nathan Fountain.
