New Technologies and Biggest Orlando Turnout Yet

InfoComm11 was a record-setter — more than 33,000 attendees poured through Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center West Hall to learn about new Pro AV products and services. With a wide assortment of new products to view, three days (June 15-17) seemed hardly enough time — and to cover every product, we’d need a whole issue. Instead, we include some of the more noteworthy product developments here, and you can find expanded coverage of InfoComm11 and additional photos at www.ProLightingSpace.com.

Alcorn McBride MediaFlow software

Alcorn McBride

Alcorn McBride’s MediaFlow software is a video workflow solution that encodes source material and transfers it to Alcorn McBride video players.  The software steps through the process and quickly readies content for use.  After the user’s material is encoded, MediaFlow’s built-in FTP capability can automatically transfer files to Ethernet-enabled devices.  It accepts all major video formats and outputs H.264 or MPEG2 video. MediaFlow supports PAL and NTSC.

Outstanding black levels are delivered via local dimming that allows specific groups of LEDs to be dimmed for greater control of brightness and darkness in different areas of the screen. Local dimming also helps the PN-V602 deliver better contrast (up to 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with local dimming set to HIGH) and brightness (up to 1,500 cd/m2) compared to conventional LCD monitors, while utilizing up to 37 percent less power.
