As 2022 moves onward, we are all trying to get our footing (safely) and return to the work that we are passionate about, with the colleagues and friends that inspire us. That is why I am looking forward to attending the USITT Conference and Stage Expo in Baltimore, March 3-5. Also on the horizon are the New World Rigging Symposium, The Event Safety Summit, and NAMM. At these industry gatherings, in-person or virtual, I truly find that the cross-pollination of ideas, techniques, and solutions is an important way to recharge—and expand—one’s own work. I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and though we collectively work behind the scenes we aren’t shy about sharing our wisdom, shall we say. Seriously, our industry is among the most generous in sharing knowledge. In this issue you will find opportunities to learn and creative conversations that will propel us optimistically forward.
