LED display models may seem to change every year, but every year, PLSN also presents a Buyers Guide feature on video cabinets, so our readers can keep up with what’s out there. Since we last covered this category (PLSN, Nov. 2018, page 66), just about every company has updated their product lines. I’ve seen quite a few companies offer weatherproofed outdoor models. But very few manufacturers are coming up with tiles that were designed to withstand the rigors of the road. If I was in the business if LED rental, I would certainly look for sealed, waterproof, protected tiles, the kind that don’t break easily when a stagehand drops them. That said, there are video displays out there to meet just about any need and budget. Have a look!
