LED video display panels seem to change every year. Every 18 months, PLSN presents a Buyers Guide on video cabinets so our readers can keep up with what’s out there. Since the last time we’ve covered this category (PLSN, June 2017, page 62), just about every company has updated their product lines. I’ve seen quite a few of them offering weatherproofed outdoor models. But very few manufacturers are coming up with tiles that were designed to withstand the rigors of the road. If I was in the business of LED rental, I would certainly look for sealed, waterproof, protected tiles — the kind that don’t break when a stagehand drops them.
