Founded in 2013, Dynamic Visual Solutions is a U.S.-based direct OEM manufacturer of large-scale LED video displays. In 2018, DVS diversified and started VOLUX Lighting, a manufacturer of automated lighting, officially debuting the VOLUX brand in 2021. Today, the DVS Group serves a wide range of live entertainment and commercial market segments throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe with both their LED video and lighting solutions. The company notes that they work directly with clients, utilizing its R&D and manufacturing resources to create tailored solutions catering to client specifications at competitive price points. All of the DVS products are backed up with an uncompromising five-year warranty for parts and labor along with unlimited technical support that offers customers peace of mind with their investment. Delivering Value

When asked what he would tell people about the DVS Group and their approach to the live entertainment market, Delzotti explains, “We describe ourselves as a company that is constantly innovating, but also finding the right balance of what a customer needs that will best suit their application. We always want to engineer our products and develop them in a way that will really be able to deliver value to our customers and maximize their ROI. The DVS brand itself came into its own when we started to take more of an OEM manufacturer-type focus. We began offering products and focusing strategically on sales and service support. In terms of VOLUX, we spent roughly four years on research and development along with putting the necessary manufacturing resources into place that we have now. With lighting, there are a lot more moving parts (literally). There are extensive QC processes that must take place before final delivery, and lighting products must be serviced by qualified personnel. VOLUX is extremely thrilled to have talented people on-board with years of experience under their belts that a play a role in ensuring these unique products have the support they need.”

Having soft launched VOLUX this year, Delzotti comments, “Our Spectra 300 luminaire is our most noteworthy product and a popular seller. It comes with 13,000 lumens of output and a remarkable 3.5˚ – 46˚ zoom range that’s feature packed with CMY+CTO, 11-dichroic colors, and 20+ gobos all within an extremely compact, lightweight form factor at a competitive price point.”

Evolving to Meet Customer Needs

Taking a look back, we asked Delzotti how he came to start DVS. “I actually came from a product engineering background, but at the time that we started DVS, I was more in a sales and marketing position working in the automotive industry at the corporate level. I went to a few electronic music concerts, and I always enjoyed it and was just amazed by the production aspects. I wanted to get my foot in the door somehow, whether it was getting behind a console, running VJ software, etc. So, I wanted to get into it and learn more about it. Eventually, I started selling the gear and it really started to take off at that point and now here we are.”

Regarding the market segments that DVS serves today, he states, “When we first started, it was mostly the entertainment side of things, but we’ve grown substantially in the past three years to serve an extremely broad range of markets. The markets we serve are everything including event production, control rooms, and houses of worship. We have had to grow our product line to accommodate those markets. Plus, we have an extensive footprint in the outdoor sports market with scoreboards as well as the mobile LED trailer market. And recently, we’ve been expanding into the XR and film studio markets including virtual production.”

Working across the many market segments of the live entertainment industry means being responsive to the wide range of client needs that entails. Delzotti is confident that clients can turn to the DVS team, saying, “LED video walls can be uncharted territory for some users, even for those who have worked in AVL for years. Our team has an extensive knowledge of the product and technology that ensures we are able to help customers succeed every step of the way. With such high volume in both sales and technical support, which can be at any hour, they are critical in ensuring we maintain our high-level of service. Customers can rest assured our team is easily reachable and responsive to any needs they have, even after-hours.”

Milestones of Success

As for milestones that have marked DVS’s success, he points out, “One of our most notable accomplishments is our products have been deployed in multiples at each Super Bowl throughout the tailgate areas for the past three years with our strategic partner, Insane Impact. Product-wise, our Retina series panels have recently been upgraded for optimization on NovaStar’s new COEX control system. The color quality and on-camera performance we’ve been able to achieve has been remarkable. We also have some new products underway that we’re excited to release in the near future.”

Also noting the recent launch of the DVS Dioplex UHD-1, Delzotti described some of its key features and target markets. “The new Dioplex UHD-1 is a 1.9mm pixel pitch LED panel, one of the high-resolutions available for fixed outdoor installations. This product follows in the footsteps of our successful of DioPlex HD series, which brought common high-pixel density options found in indoor and rental applications to the outdoor fixed install sector. The high-pixel density allows for close viewing distances and high resolutions to be achieved in a large, seamless format. It offers up to 3,500 NITS of brightness and utilizes black LED technology, which natively reduces reflection of sunlight to provide more visibility in high ambient light conditions without requiring high-output levels of the LEDs. The use of black LED technology additionally enhances contrast ratios that deliver more vibrant colors. A 3,840Hz refresh rate is standard optimizing image movements and reduces flicker on camera, making it ideal for sports and broadcast uses. The DioPlex UHD-1 suits a variety of market sectors and is well suited for outdoor digital signage, sports, theme parks, and even high-end residential applications. This is an outdoor fine pitch product that comes in under the sub two-millimeter range. We have a large range of both indoor and outdoor products.”

DVS has expanded into the XR and film studio markets including virtual production.

As for what he would like people to most understand about the company, Delzotti adds, “The DVS Group is extremely focused on providing products with innovation to fit the job just right. We want our customers to be able to find balance and have confidence in products they can trust. We’re more than a manufacturer, but also a strategic partner helping dealers and end-users achieve visual excellence.”
