It is with much sadness that PLSN learned of the recent passing of John Fahnestock, who was most recently a Sales Manager with PSAV. He had taken a fall a few months ago, and died in his sleep the week of October 21, 2024. Previously, John worked in sales and rentals at Altman Lighting, Altman Rentals, Big Apple Lights, and Production Arts. He was well known for his humor, kindness, and knowledge. He would always extend a helping hand, especially to students and those new to the live event industry.
There will be a Celebration of Life for John on November 10, 2024 at Marco Polo at 345 Court Street in Brooklyn, NY 11231. Donations can be made in memory of John to The Schuykill County Council for the Arts. The family is also asking people to feel free to share your memories ahead of time, so they can create a photo board and playlist for the Celebration of Life.
