Co-founded by Fredrik Stormby, Green Wall Designs is one of the world’s leading creative studios renowned for crafting captivating visual experiences in the world of live entertainment. Specializing in video, lighting, and scenic elements, the team has contributed to some of the most thrilling live productions in recent memory. Among Green Wall Designs’ impressive portfolio within the past few years are projects such as Loreen’s winning performance at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, ABBA Voyage, Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, Amazon Music Live and The 1975 At Their Very Best, to name a few.

SVT has also today unveiled the first sketches of the stage and lighting design for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. It is a unique 360° experience that surrounds the audience and viewers in the Malmö Arena. The stage is placed in the middle of the audience and shaped like a cross. Movable LED cubes, LED floors, light, video, and stage technology will be able to create great variations in the arena.

The stage and lighting design for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 puts the audience more in focus than ever before and viewers will experience a visually revolutionary concept with the stage placed in the center of the arena. The focal point of the design is a monumental installation – a “center piece” of video and light above the stage, where the lighting design is designed to embrace the artists and their performances. Together, these elements make it possible to create many unique looks for the various performances, thus bringing live and TV audiences closer to the action.

Following Loreen’s victory at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, Sweden has the honor of hosting the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time in 11 years. The decision to retain ‘UNITED BY MUSIC’ as the official Eurovision slogan and Sweden’s robust music scene, inspired the lighting and video design that embodies a strong, conceptually clean, and modern expression. This design not only flirts with modern music and tour production, but also draws inspiration from the vibrant urban region around Öresund and Malmö as a city. For the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Green Wall Designs will strive to execute the event exclusively using LED and laser light sources to achieve lower constant power consumption. The lighting design for the 2024 contest encompasses approximately 2,000 light fixtures and 12 followspot systems.

“Green Walls Designs is honored to be working with SVT as the Lighting and Screen Content Designer for The 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden,” says Stormby, Co-founder and CEO of Green Wall Designs. “We are excited to deliver a spectacular show in our home country and for audiences across the world.”
