The Parnelli Ballot for the 22nd annual awards is open for voting… but only for two weeks more! The ballot is posted online at parnelliawards.com/vote, and it’s up to YOU, the PLSN reader, to decide who among the nominees will step up to the awards podium at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA on the evening of January 26, 2024.
Voting will close on December 15 at 12:00 pm (PST), so don’t delay. The direct link is www.parnelliawards.com/vote.
You can help decide who among the nominees in all the other awards categories gets the next Parnelli nod, including this year’s best Lighting Designer, Lighting Director, Production Designer, Video Director, Media Content Creator, Tour Manager, and Production Manager. There are also awards honoring companies involved in sound, staging, set construction, video, rigging, pyro, trucking, and freight forwarding.
You can also choose among the six regional finalists for the Parnelli Award for Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year, and to help decide which of the Indispensable Technology (“IT” Award) nominees should win a Parnelli for best product in the Lighting, Video, Staging/Effects, and Audio categories.
The voting continues until December 15 at 12:00 pm (PST). After that, the votes will be tallied, and the top-secret list of winners will be carefully guarded until the envelopes are opened at the podium on Jan. 26. That’s when all the backstage winners will share the limelight with career honorees Jim Brammer (Lifetime Achievement), Carol Dodds (Visionary), and Buford Jones (Audio Innovator).
The awards gala begins with the Parnelli Cocktail Party at 6 p.m. The awards banquet starts at 7 p.m. The Jan. 26 ceremony will be the 22nd annual Parnelli Awards presentation, and like the 21 awards events that came before, the event is wholly dependent upon the generous support from Parnelli Awards sponsors.
