This month’s Buyer’s Guide looks at the latest in Laser products. In the past, lasers were normally only used on the highest profile shows. The cost, size, and special handling of delicate and expensive laser gear often overrode the production’s desire—and budget—to use them. That has all changed. Lasers have become more cost-effective, more robust and tourable, and the number of features has increased. Lasers are more commonplace on shows these days and are a more used design tool alongside lighting. The fact that many lasers are now easily controlled by lighting consoles means designers have a more readily accessible design tool.
