Blue Planet is proud to announce an array of recent new hires and promotions across all locations. This announcement ties in with Blue Planet’s recent nationwide expansion news and Atlanta grand opening. Blue Planet Co-Founder Mike Gormley had this to say about the new staff upgrades, “This is an exciting era for Blue Planet as we roll out our growth initiatives and launch our company footprint across the US. The moves we are making require a solid staff in order to continually meet customer expectations as well as raise the bar in customer service and support throughout the entertainment and motion picture markets. Below is a list of recent staff additions and promotions.
Promotion – Las Vegas
Canaan Caughey – National Sales Manager
Canaan Caughey, a 10-year veteran of Blue Planet, has been promoted to National Sales Manager. Canaan will now oversee sales in all locations, as well as manage the training and consistency of the entire Blue Planet sales force. When asked about his recent promotion, Canaan responded, “Blue Planet has always been an outstanding example of how it should be done, and we look forward to expanding the Blue Planet AVL experience to any and all that need it!” Caughey continued, “As our growth continues and opportunities arise, we will continue to provide our signature service that strives for the best possible end user experience.”

Promotion – Las Vegas
Brad Royal – National Service Manager
Brad Royal, a longtime core team member of Blue Planet has been promoted to National Service Manager. Brad will oversee the training, work, and consistency of the entire Blue Planet service team across the US. In addition to holding numerous certifications, Royal has been repairing nearly all gear associated with the entertainment industry for decades. New Hire – Atlanta
Katie Clayton – Service Department Manager – Atlanta
Katie Clayton has joined the Blue Planet team as Service Manager at the recently opened Atlanta location. Katie comes to Blue Planet with a deep knowledge of technical service and repair across both the entertainment and motion picture industries and holds multiple certifications with various equipment manufacturers. Karina Carrasco – Corporate Accounting Manager
Blue Planet is proud to announce the addition of Karina Carrasco as Corporate Accounting Manager. Karina is based out of the Las Vegas Headquarters and will handle day to day accounting operations and support. Carrasco has also taken on the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO and will work alongside company CEO/CFO Mike Gormley to ensure smooth transitions as Blue Planet continues their US expansion. Blue Planet recently added Rafael Villagrana as Logistics Manager. Rafael will handle all warehouse logistics in Las Vegas, as well as assist within the service department.
