IT Award: Lighting – Avolites D9 Lighting Console
The Diamond 9 offers a distinct look and feel as a console and is available in two versions: D9-330 and D9-215. Both visual canvas controllers are designed to intuitively combine lighting, media, and other visual aspects of a show together. The D9-330 boasts 11 touch screens, including three 15.6” main workspace screens, three for media preview, and specific screens for attribute control and softkey short cuts. The 30 motorized touch-sensitive Penny & Giles faders and 70 optical rotary touch sensitive playback encoders each have their own RGB bar graphs so levels can be monitored at a glance. It also comes with a backlit integrated keyboard.
IT Award: Video – Roe Visual Black Pearl BP2V2 LED
Specially developed for use in the film industry and xR applications, its features have been adapted based on extensive testing and industry partners’ feedback. The BP2V2 offers the trusted performance of the BP2 in an updated version with high-speed components that result in perfect on-camera performance with quicker and easier camera set up and handling. With a tight 2.84mm pixel pitch, standard 500 x 500 x 90mm frame size, good color depth, 6,000:1 contrast ratio and proven reliability, ROE Visual has built a panel that gives great on-camera results. There is a 90˚ corner panel for seemingly magic walls and offers convex and concave options for full production flexibility.
IT Award: Staging & FX – Look Solutions’ Fog & Haze Systems
Look Solutions manufactures reliable, energy-efficient fog and haze machines used widely throughout the industry. ADJ: COB Cannon LP200ST LED Wash Fixture
The COB Cannon LP200ST employs a 200W COB (Chip On Board) LED light engine that combines red, green, blue, amber, and lime LED chips. This allows the creation of a gamut of colors as well as white light with a variable color temperature of between 2,300K and 9,900K. The inclusion of the lime LED chip helps certain colors to appear more vivid and boosts the CRI in excess of 90. Offering a wide native beam angle of 80˚, the unit is also supplied with a lens kit with both 40˚ and 50˚ lens options, which securely clip to the front of the fixture. Barn doors are also available as an optional accessory.
AOTO: UAV / Smartphone Calibration Technology
During the construction of fine pixel pitch LED screens, there is a common occurrence of dark or bright lines appearing between adjacent modules. These lines are caused by the dislocation of panels during installation and can have a significant impact on the visual experience. To deal with these issues, AOTO has developed its Intelligent UAV / Smartphone Calibration System with a mobile phone for smaller, easily accessible screen installations, or a drone for larger exterior screens at a concert or festival stage, to easily eliminate these dark or bright lines. Users only need to scan the screen. The correction system uses advanced AI image processing technology which will then automatically debug the image.
Brompton Technology: Tessera v3.4 Software
The Tessera v3.4 software includes two new features—Extended Bit Depth and Stacking. Extended Bit Depth unlocks higher PWM bit depth output with a free firmware update for all existing and new panels fitted with the Brompton R2 or R2+ receiver card. Extended Bit Depth reproduces HDR content up to 10 times darker than previously possible, without compromising peak brightness for HDR highlights. Stacking, available on Tessera SX40 and S8 processors, allows multiple processors to be controlled together in unison. Any adjustment made on the leading processor will be automatically applied to all the others in the stack; users don’t need to apply adjustments to each processor individually.

GigaCore 30i is Luminex’s new 10Gb Ethernet switch dedicated to both installations and touring applications as well as for AV integration projects. With its 10Gb connectivity, the GigaCore 30i allows full network convergence of lighting control, audio, intercom, and compressed video. Pre-configured Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP multicast, and PTPv2 settings will assure a responsive and extremely stable network environment for the most demanding time-critical audio protocols like Dante™, AES67, Q-SYS, and many others. The X400, with Intel’s latest-generation processor, server class motherboard and graphics card, multiple input, and output cards, can drive up to six 4K or 24 2K mosaic outputs from a single server unit.
