Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival returned to the Las Vegas Speedway for the second time in seven months. The annual festival hosted more than 300 artists and upwards of 300,000 attendees. 4Wall Entertainment provided over 1,500 light fixtures, rigging and video for three out of 10 stages: bassPOD, wasteLAND, and stereoBLOOM.
Load-in for the festival started a week prior to opening night, led by 4Wall Project Managers, Dallas Gaspar (bassPOD), Jonathan Daroca (stereoBLOOM) and Will Cowles Meyer (wasteLAND).
“The entire crew for all three of these stages worked extremely hard and around the clock in order to be show ready,” said Project Manager Dallas Gaspar. “After months of preparation, weeks of install, and hundreds of challenges, the final product turned out even better than expected. As I watched hundreds of thousands of attendees spend three nights marveling over the music and stage designs, I couldn’t help but smile and take pride in the fact that we built something that would give people the best nights of their life.”
4Wall provided the lighting, rigging, and video for the iconic bassPOD stage that is designed by Stufish. The lighting design was created by Bending Lite Productions, Erik Mahowald, and LD Josh Gregoire.
For the wasteLAND stage, 4Wall provided the lighting and rigging equipment. The stage was designed by SJ Lighting, with Konnor King as the Lighting Programmer.
4Wall provided all of the lighting equipment for stereoBLOOM. The stage was designed by Micciolo Productions. Alex Cerio was the Lighting Programmer.
“The amount of hard work that goes into putting on a massive show like EDC requires a special group of people who collectively go full-throttle until the stages are completed,” explained Gaspar. “I can’t thank the crews enough for all of their hard work.”
