ADJ: Encore FR Color Pro Fresnel
With motorized focus (9˚ to 37˚), a 7” Fresnel lens, and a 400W RGBA + Cyan + Lime LED light engine, the Encore FR Color Pro is a versatile Fresnel. It offers enhanced color mixing, a high CRI, and lumen output of 9,237. The LED chips allow the creation of a huge gamut of colors as well as white light with a variable color temperature of between 2,400K and 8,500K. Choose between 5 different DMX channel modes (between 14 and 19 ch.) as well as 6 preset dimming modes, 4 dimming curves, and variable dimming speed of between 0.1 and 10 seconds. For flicker-free operation the LED refresh rate can be also adjusted from 900Hz to 25kHz.
Ayrton: Domino LT Luminaire
The Domino LT (Long Throw), an IP65-rated luminaire with a 225mm diameter front lens, has a 15:1 zoom ratio (3.5° to 53°). Equipped with an all-new 1,000W LED module, it delivers 51,000 lumens at 6,700K. The color mixing system offers a double level of CMY saturation and variable color temperature from 2,700K to 15,000K. Features include a linear progressive frost system, a lightweight frost filter, two image-multiplying rotating prisms, and a framing section with each shutter blade covering 100%. The effects section includes two superimposed rotating gobo wheels each with seven gobos, a 15-blade iris, a monochromatic multi-position effects wheel, and an RGB and CMY effects wheel for unique multicolor effects.
Elation: Capture 2022 Design Software
Capture Visualization, the 2D/3D drag-and-drop lighting design software, has released Capture 2022. Newly introduced features include enhanced modeling detail, paperwork accuracy and customization, and livelier visualizations. The new cable library makes it possible to design, measure, and report a project’s cable runs. The new line snapper object allows creating the same behavior used when fixtures snap to truss and pipes. You can now design custom truss pieces, like base plates, ballasts, outriggers, corner blocks, sleeves, and motor attachments amongst others. The Universe view has been revamped for better layout of overlapping fixtures, plus a new fixtures mode where full channel names are visible, and channels are individually controllable.
ETC: Cyberlight LED
The Cyberlight LED, a moving mirror fixture born from industry feedback, surpasses moving head luminaires in a variety of uses including high-speed pan/tilt movement and the ability to hide lighting fixtures in permanent installations. It pairs a 470W Bright White LED engine and a high-quality optical system to deliver 12,500 field lumens with 90+ CRI. Features include 10°—28.5° zoom, color mixing plus color wheel, dual rotating pattern wheels, each with 7 interchangeable glass gobos, 16-blade iris, 4 facet rotating prism, and light and heavy diffusions. The break resistant mirror produces fast pan and tilt movement along with Whisper Home positional encoding technology ensures the mirror instantly finds home position at startup or re-homing.
ETC: Eos Apex Lighting Consoles
The Eos Apex line, with three models—5, 10, and 20—is the next generation of ETC’s flagship controls line. Eos Apex consoles prioritize the user experience to ease long hours behind the desk. Massive multitouch displays offer generous screen real estate for Magic Sheets, Direct Selects, and Augment3d models, with eye-strain-reducing 4K resolution. The displays articulate on a dual-axis and feature a 160˚ viewing angle. New-to-the-industry technologies provide programmers access to their most-used tools—right on the face panel. The Eos Family programming keypad has been enhanced with a touchscreen that thumps with haptic feedback. Eos Apex also introduces customizable Target Keys for Direct Selects, which boast individual OLED displays that can be customized with images, icons, and text. The encoder area from the Eos Ti console has been expanded to include eight mini-encoders and a navigation dial to easily switch between parameters. [We will have much more on the Eos Apex in the May PLSN.]
Pangolin and Vectorworks Laser Visualization
Pangolin Laser Systems is working together with Vectorworks to integrate lasers into Vision, Vectorwork’s previsualization software. Vision now has the capability to take the visualization data in from Pangolin’s BEYOND software and visualize lasers (along with lighting and video) directly within Vectorworks. This new software integration between BEYOND and Vision is especially useful for clients who not only need a visualization platform but use the Vectorworks eco-system from design to implementation. Adding lasers to Vectorworks and Vision drawings will allow for accurate pre-programming where only minor adjustments will be needed onsite. Saving time and money to put towards creating the best show possible.

ROE Visual: Opal LED Series
Opal LED is a new product series that accommodates indoor and outdoor applications. The design of Opal started with the concept of building blocks and new display configurations. Opal panels measure 300 x 300mm and 300 x 600mm for flexible designs and screens in almost any shape and size desired, reducing customization costs and assembly time. The installation process was designed for easy handling, efficient installation, and display stability. Universal Opal Frames allow for wall mounting or additional hanging and stacking options. Due to high-precision engineering and manufacturing, the resulting canvas is always perfectly aligned, seamless, and meticulously flat along with Opal’s high-contrast ratio and wide color gamut for color accuracy.
Whirlwind: Custom Power Link PLR Distro
Whirlwind can build just about anything. Have a custom configuration need for a project, contact them and find out how they can configure power distribution racks or motor controllers just the way you want it. With their DesignPRO 2.0 Software you can lay it out yourself from their racks and components, then they provide a price quote; or you can have them lay out your desired system. Shown here is a custom Power Link PLR power distro with an integrated PLMC eight-channel motor controller. The PLMC D-Series controllers can be incorporated into any distro design and include integrated remote/jumper storage. Up to four 8-channel controllers can be linked—creating a 32-channel system.
