The 2021 CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala kicked off on the evening of Sept. 21 in Xingyue Lake Wetland Park near Qionghai, Xichang. Gloshine Technology, as a special cooperative LED display supplier of the Central Radio and Television General Station, once again joined with CCTV to build a 360° immersive circular stage. According to the relevant person in charge of the crew, this was the biggest stage of CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival Gala over the years.
This Mid-Autumn Festival Gala stage was set up on Xingyue Lake. One side of the stage was close to Qionghai, Xi Chang, and the other side was a modern new city. The main stage was set in the Jianchang ancient city in Xichang, and the “root carving” Ficus virens Ait coiled on the ancient city wall reappears on the city wall, showing the integration of ancient trees and cities for thousands of years.
The 2,200m² Gloshine LED screen, from different perspectives, different spaces, provided the an immersive viewing experience. Content included seven stars accompanying the moon, fiery trees, and silver flowers, presenting an aesthetic sense stage effect: combining reality with fiction, reflecting ancient and modern times, to create a visual feast cultural sense. On the full moon evening of the Mid-Autumn Festival, viewers enjoyed the beauty of literature, the charm of martial arts, the exquisite of music, and the elegance of dance.
In “Moon City,” the 1,000m² Gloshine LS 3.91 outdoor screen is the main screen of the stage. Sometimes the screen displayed a vast sea of stars and a bright moon on the sea, showing beauty and romance. At other times it showed mountains, water, and the city, enhancing each other’s brilliance and shining brightly. Then it went through ancient and modern times, showing the long history and the strength of the country.
The 700m² column display screens, on both sides of the stage, were comprised of Gloshine Carbon fiber series cabinets-CB3.91mm. The 12 square columns were combined with unparalleled stage special effects, sometimes lined up and sometimes scattered, showing different contents in different programs, such as clear water, green hills, and dreamy outer space. Frame by frame and full of texture, magnificent and gorgeous scenes changed and blended on the stage, to the audience’s enjoyment.
Complementing the sky was a 500m² Gloshine AR series 4.81mm floor screen, and a 360° circular stage standing on the surface of Xingyue Lake. The moon in the sky, and the moon on the water, echoed each other from afar, and the stars and the Big Dipper set each other off, transforming ancient and modern times and combining reality with fiction. The panoramic stage had no blind spots in the line of sight. Pavilions, small bridges, and flowing water; moonlight upon the lotus pond and a full moon all complemented each other, presenting a visual feast with beautiful romance and local characteristics.
This year’s choreography design was a breakthrough, not purely realistic, but with the main narrative through the ancient and modern times, the total choreography concept was “the seven stars of the Big Dipper,” as a starting point to the stage design. To present a better visual effect, Gloshine team and the party director team repeatedly discussed the display plan and construction details, and finally Gloshine’s large quality screen brought the imagination of the directing team to life, and made the whole party brighter and more wonderful.
