Event Details:
Rowdytown IX was the ninth edition of Big Gigantic’s annual two night stand at Red Rocks. The first show (Sept. 24) featured Gigantic Nghtmre, the supergroup formed by Big Gigantic and Nghtmre, with an assist from performances from Droeloe, GoldFish, and Covex. The second night, Sept. 25, featured Big Gigantic’s 3D show, which first mesmerized the band’s fans at Rowdytown VII in 2018. That show also featured Peekaboo, slenderbodies and Dreamers Delight. “I created a versatile production design that allowed us to move elements around to create two unique looks for each night, and led the creative direction on the project,” noted show designer Ricardo Rojas. “My team built a brand new show for Big Gigantic’s return to their hometown venue, including stereoscopic 3D video content, lighting, lasers, and staging.
