There are many paths to the top of the mountain. PLSN’s LD-at-Large, Chris Lose turned to his friend Nick Whitehouse of Fireplay for some help detailing eight of those paths. They include: 1) Go to school and get an education. 2) Join your community theater. 3) Become a local stagehand [non-union]. 4) Become a local stagehand [union]. 5) Join your church production team. 6) Apply to work in the shop at a local rental company. 7) Nepotism. And last (but also, it turns out, very much least): Work for a bar band that makes it big.
