LOS ANGELES – ADJ is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its versatile new Allegro Z6 motorized linear fixture with zoom. Offering powerful output, impressive color mixing and an expansive feature set, it delivers lighting designers incredible artistic potential for creating both static looks and moving effects.

More details from ADJ (www.adj.com):

The Allegro Z6 features six individually controllable 30W quad color 4-in-1 LEDs, which can be used to generate a wide variety of vibrant colors by mixing together their red, green, blue and white elements in different combinations of intensity. Each LED offers a lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours, effectively preventing the need for lamp replacement even if the fixture is used extensively for many years.

The unit also features a motorized zoom function, allowing the angle of the six independent light beams to vary between 4-degrees, for tight beam effects, and 32-degress, to create wide soft-edged washes. This flexibility allows for color washing as well as mid-air beam and eye candy effects, making it a versatile tool to add to any lighting professional’s arsenal.

In addition, the bar on which the LED apertures are mounted is fitted with motorized tilt movement. This allows the beams to sweep through a wide 220-degree range, adding even more creative potential. The nimble fixture offers extremely fast movement to create energetic effects, while the precision motors also allow for 16-bit smooth sweeping motion.

Rounding out the Allegro Z6’s exhaustive feature set, the unit also offers variable speed strobe and pulse effects, flicker free LEDs suitable for filming (1200Hz PWM frequency) and ultra-smooth 16-bit dimming. In addition, the unit features six preset dimming curves as well as variable speed dimming control, allowing it to be easily programmed and used for a wide variety of applications.

Professional caliber locking input and output sockets allow the power supply for up to six fixtures @ 120V to be daisy-chained together (up to 11 fixtures @ 230V). For control, the unit is fitted with 5-pin DMX input and output sockets and offers the choice of two DMX channel modes (17 or 37) as well as RDM (Remote Device Management) compatibility. The Allegro Z6 is also compatible with Art-Net and Kling-Net for pixel-mapping and is equipped with RJ45 input and output sockets for this purpose.

To aid quick and intuitive programming, the unit features in-built chase effect macros that can be easily customized with a choice of background and foreground color. This allows for complex effects to be easily generated without the need for pixel mapping or rigorous programming. Meanwhile, a variable white mode makes it easy to select white output with a color temperature between 2700K and 7000K. This means that the one unit can be used both for stage washing with the right temperature of white light for a particular application and for generating beam and eye candy effects with vibrant saturated colors.

A specially-designed long and thin OLED display on the front of the unit displays the current DMX address and channel mode at a glance. It also provides easy access, using the four push buttons below, to a menu system that provides DMX addressing, mode selection and a variety of customizable settings. This menu system is battery-powered, which means that during event prep a unit can be setup and addressed without the need to connect a power supply. The fixture also features a USB port allowing for easy future firmware updates.

With robust all-metal construction and a sleek matt black finish, the Allegro Z6 is designed for touring applications as well as permanent installations. Measuring 19.6” x 4.5” x 11” / 500mm x 113mm x 278mm and weighing just 21lbs. / 9.5kg, the unit is both compact and easy to rig. It has a manual Tilt Lock feature for stable transportation as well a folding handle on its base to make it easier to carry. The unit is fitted with large rubber feet, which allow it to stand securely on the ground or on a stage riser, and it features a useful alignment system that means multiple units can be easily linked side-by-side to create a seamless flow between units. It is also supplied with two Omega brackets, which allow it to be securely mounted to truss in any orientation.

“An exciting new addition to the ADJ product range, the Allegro Z6 is a truly versatile professional lighting tool ideal for creative designers and programmers,” comments ADJ USA’s National Sales Manager, Alfred Gonzales. “This compact fixture packs in six extremely bright quad color LEDs together with motorized zoom and tilt control allowing for the creation of a wide variety of effects including broad washes, tight beams and dynamic eye candy chases.”

The Allegro Z6 is a powerful and versatile fixture ideal for use on concert stages and on touring productions as well as for permanent installation in large nightclubs and other entertainment venues. It is available now from ADJ subsidiaries, distributors and dealers worldwide.
