AMSTERDAM – Schnick-Schnack-Systems GmbH can look back on a very successful Integrated Systems Europe. As in previous years, the Cologne-based LED specialists were exhibitors from the 5th to the 8th of February at the leading trade fair for system integration. This year, the trade fair was especially gratifying for the company. The presented portfolio was all about connectivity and focused on solutions for straightforward integration and device control. The KNX-Gateway had its premiere at the ISE and attracted a great amount of attention among the integrators.
More details from Schnick-Schnack (https://schnick.schnack.systems/en/):
The globally recognized KNX standard enables the intelligent networking of electrical installations in buildings by means of a bus system. The KNX thereby offers users tailor-made comfort. The standard ensures increase safety for buildings and users and optimizes energy efficiency and the economic viability of the property. More than 7,000 certified products are available from roughly 400 international manufacturers, all of which are compatible with each other. The KNX therefore offers builders, architects and investors the highest degree of future safety and reliability.
With the KNX-Gateway, Schnick-Schnack-Systems presented its first KNX-certified solution. The device enables the controlling of media installations, for example a media facade or interior design, At the same time, brightness sensors or other pulse generators common in building automation can be integrated.
A major advantage of the KNX-Gateway is that the global brightness of the system can be set separately on the device without having to create new content. The so-constructed clear separation of content, for example design areas and brightness control of the in-house technology, guarantees technicians an uncomplicated and safe operation of the system. What’s more, the Schnick-Schnack-Systems KNX-Gateway completely turns off the LED strips in place, thereby reducing electricity consumption by up to 80% compared to standby mode.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of this year’s ISE,” confirms Solveig Busler, Schnick-Schnack-Systems Executive Board Member. “We showed some exciting products that are tailor-made to the needs of the integration market. “Our new KNX-Gateway was very well-received by the integrators. But our M-Dots, strips of 10 LEDs each with which any shapes and contours can be created, were also very popular. It’s great to see that we once again appear to be in touch with the latest trends.”
