NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – When Carrie Underwood took to the stage at the 53rd annual Academy of Country Music Awards, her eyes were marked with glittered tears, both from the stage make up and from the rush of emotions. The Grammy-award winning artist had only recently shared images of her and her band rehearsing, teasing her upcoming performance in Las Vegas following months of rest after an accident at her home.

More details from Bandit (www.BanditLites.com):

Underwood performed her newest single, “Cry Pretty,” which streamed more than 1.2 million times in two days and rocketed to No. 1 on twelve country’s iTunes Top Song charts, and Wednesday morning she announced her next album, Cry Pretty, will be released September 14.

“At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever,” Underwood said in a statement announcing the album. “I think you can hear that in this new album. It’s emotional, it’s soulful, it’s real, and we also have some fun on there, too. I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it.”

In addition to her incredible performance Saturday night, Underwood also took home her 14th career ACM award for Vocal Event of the Year for “The Fighter,” a collaboration with Keith Urban.

“Bandit is honored to be Carrie’s lighting vendor since day one,” said Bandit Lites Chair, Michael T. Strickland. “Carrie and her team are talented beyond belief and we could not ask for a better client to work with.”
