NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Grace VanderWaal recently wrapped her first solo concert tour with a lighting package supplied by Bandit Lites. Aptly named the Just the Beginning Tour, the fourteen-year-old singer-songwriter traveled the country performing songs off her synonymous first full-length album, where she was hailed by critics as the next Taylor Swift of songwriting combined with Sia vocals.
More details from Bandit (www.BanditLites.com):
VanderWaal won the eleventh season of NBC’s hit television competition show, America’s Got Talent (AGT), where she wowed the judges and audience with her original songs, striking vocals and gracious personality.
Following her AGT win, VanderWaal released her inaugural EP, Perfectly Imperfect, which debuted as No. 9 on the Billboard 200 Chart and went on to be the best-selling EP of 2016. She has amassed more than 2 million Instagram followers, more than 1 million YouTube subscribers and a combined total of over 200 million views.
In addition to support gear, Bandit Lites supplied lighting designer Nathan Langford with Robe PATT 2013 fixtures for a retro flare, giving the stage tungsten eye candy and more prop lighting looks.
“There is nothing quite like the first time an artist kicks off their first-ever tour,” said Bandit Client Representative Shawn Lear, “and I’m so proud that Bandit Lites is now a part of that story with Grace VanderWaal. She has a long career ahead of her and I cannot wait to see the incredible success she has coming her way.”
VanderWaal’s star is only continuing to rise as she is set to tour again this summer. For more information visit
