Nook’s Tidbits: The Cyclorama

Share this Post:

A cyclorama is a large curtain or wall, often concave, positioned along the upstage edge of a theater. Normally white or very light in color, it was popularized in the German theater of the 19th century and continues today in theaters and studios throughout the world.  Cycloramas are commonly used to create the illusion of a sky onstage.
