LASER — “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.” While lasers weren’t invented until 1960, by the 1980’s they had cemented a place in the live event business. Anyone can create a crude version of a laser show: Just aim the beam of a laser pointer in some haze and shake your hand quickly to create a colored line. Today’s laser projectors basically do the same thing, just quicker and more accurately. The units contain prisms, mirrors and other components. We have different wattage models, various colors, plenty of scanning effects as well as graphic images projected on surfaces. They even make moving head lasers and ones that allow the user to scan the audience. Check out what’s on the market today in our Buyers Guide.
