GoVision Helps Salute the Troops at Pop-Up Stadium with 30-by-54 Foot Video Wall

FORT BRAGG, NC – Baseball parks across the nation were ablaze in red, white and blue last weekend as patriotic fans celebrated the nation’s 240th Independence Day. But Major League Baseball wanted to stage something uniquely special to honor America’s men and women in uniform, and GoVision was there to help. MLB hired Toronto-based BaAM Productions to construct a temporary 12,500-seat ballpark on an abandoned golf course at Fort Bragg, which was the setting for the July 3 game between the Atlanta Braves and Florida Marlins. The Salute-the-Troops game is believed to be the first regular-season Major League game ever played at a military installation.

The pop-up stadium featured a massive 30-by-54-foot LED wall comprised of lightweight GV6mm panels, as well as more than 80 feet of ultra-light GV10CF LED ribbon board, all provided by GoVision L.P.

Fort Bragg – home of the 82nd Airborne Division – will now convert the site into softball and recreational fields to be enjoyed by residents of the base.
