DEVON, U.K. – S+H Technical, which specializes in providing LED, visual effects, drapes and starcloth for various clients, has added to its stock of LED screens with 182 panels of Glux’s 10mm outdoor BAtn product. The company stocked up to support a busy summer events season. S+H already has a substantial stock of LED video with more than 1,000 panels of Glux LED including 12mm, 3.9 indoor and both 10 & 20 mm floor tiles. Having a wide range of LED screen stock – plus several other LED technologies – ensures that S+H has the flexibility to service its wide and eclectic range of projects.
More details from S+H (www.starcloth.co.uk):
“We’re getting asked ever more frequently to supply LED screens to various projects many of which are outdoor, so we need to have a solution in stock,” comments S+H’s MD Terry Murtha. It made sense to keep with the same manufacturer for continuity and quality reasons as well as compatibility with existing stock.
As well as using the screen to facilitate their own projects, S+H also expects a healthy cross hire business in the new Glux, which is known as reliable, lightweight and easy to rig. It can also be used indoors.
The robust carbon fiber construction utilizes SMD 3in1 LEDs for high transparency and brightness and low wind resistance – all advantages geared towards the outdoor environments for which it’s been designed.
The carbon fiber frame means the panel is super-thin – just 45 mm – and extremely light at just 14Kgs per square meter, but with some serious tensile strength for stability. It’s extremely fast to rig and easy to maintain, fitted into a 45 degree curved frame that is suitable for 90 degree installation and negotiating corners.
The dot-by-dot calibration guarantees the image and color quality and uniformity.
The processors have a clearly visible status display showing useful and relevant operational information, and the connectors and cables are all manufactured in Europe to the best standards.
Glux technical support and after-sales service in the UK is “Excellent” comments Terry, which is another strong reason for picking this brand out from a mind-boggling array of choices!
The new screen arrived at S+H’s warehouse in Ilfracombe, Devon, where it was packaged into flight cases ready for use and all 182 panels went directly out on a large corporate show in Germany.
