MINNEAPOLIS — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a leading control and automation manufacturer for residential and light commercial settings, today announced that Mike Everett has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing, Americas.

In his new position, Everett will oversee all of the sales and marketing activities for RTI and its Pro Control division in the North and Latin American markets, including defining the company’s strategic direction, developing new initiatives and business opportunities, and managing sales and marketing departments.
Everett brings over 30 years of experience in the AV industry to his new role. He joined RTI in 2006 as regional sales manager, rising to general manager of Pro Control in 2009. Previously, he owned a Florida-based integration company, ProHome Technologies, Inc., and served as a buyer for Minneapolis retailer Audio King.
“Mike has been a key contributor to the success of RTI for nearly 10 years and is well equipped to step into this demanding role,” said John Demskie, RTI’s founder and CEO. “Leading our Pro Control division, his solid technical background and considerable industry experience have been instrumental in creating a strong market impact.
